Nick's Pizza: A Castle Shannon Staple Since 1979
Nick’s Pizza founders Nick and Tina S. were both born in Italy, and launched their business in the Fall of 1979. Their goal was to provide a good living for their young and growing family by serving excellent, New York-style thin-crust pizza in the Pittsburgh suburb of Castle Shannon. Their recipe and home-style service have kept loyal customers coming back for decades. Nick and Tina decided to sell their restaurant to Tom and Kim, who successfully kept the tradition of Nick's intact for years.
Sadly in 2017, fire devastated Nick's Pizza and forced it to shut down and lock it's doors. Later in the year, Tom and Kim had decided to sell the business and it's remaining pieces...
Nick's Pizza is now owned by Dan and Krista, a Pittsburgh Christian couple whose goal is to continue the tradition of Nick and Tina, take some of their 26+ years of restaurant experience, and add a touch of their own special techniques and recipes to take Nick's Pizza to the next level.
But the goal isn't just to make great food. The goal of Nick's Pizza is to make great food, have a friendly atmosphere, support the community and schools, be a respectful place of employment, build relationships with our neighboring businesses, and most of all, just flat out genuinely CARE ABOUT PEOPLE. We believe that through caring about those around us, we can do great things. We hope to see you soon.
